I thought that was one of the best classes at www.essexfightingarts.weebly.com, well I absolutely loved teaching it anyway. Great to again hone your skills with the knife through Dikit and regardless how many times you go through techniques, you'll always find something new. As I said to big Tom, my Sensei always said to me. As a black belt, less is more and that will come with time. When you first start training, your grip is tight and using lots of wasted energy to perform a technique. But in time your grip will loosen and you'll start to flow more with your body moving at one with the technique rather than staggered. Hope you also enjoyed the different knife techniques we switched too from an icepick knife attack. A big welcome to my neighbour Ken Allen who has the same name as Ken Allen who is already training under me!! ha ha! Crazy! He did great for his first go and was buzzing about the class on the way home in the car. I made sure I dropped him off outside his house... :-D lol Have a great weekend everyone and see you next week. Ouss...

Welcome to the Essex Fighting Arts Blog. I always try to give an overview for each class with a re-cap of what was taught, terminology & ethos behind the techniques used. As well as any introductions, announcements or fun things that happened during the session. Enjoy! 😉
