Well that didn't go too bad and tonight's Essex Fighting-Arts class was sponsored by Paracetamol... :-D Actually got a 2nd wind once I got teaching but was a delicate little flower still in some ways as I couldn't face being thrown for the fear of actually breaking in half... ha ha! Anyway, brief pad session this evening and well done to Rob for keeping with me as I pushed him. Hope you enjoyed the jab/cross work with Dakup entries and take downs into some of the brutal locks we did. Nothing like choking someone while pulling their arm off ;-) ha ha! Added some hammer and anvil work at the end too which was good to show you with some very painful nerve pressure points with more arm bars and chokes. As always, one cap does not fit all so if the technique is not going to work, get out of it and adapt. Don't sit about and catch a cold, keep moving through and with the amount of tools you have then there are a million and one things you can move into and cause pain. On that note, I'm due some more drugs myself and starting to feel shit again. Have a great weekend everyone and see you next Tuesday, Ouss...

Welcome to the Essex Fighting Arts Blog. I always try to give an overview for each class with a re-cap of what was taught, terminology & ethos behind the techniques used. As well as any introductions, announcements or fun things that happened during the session. Enjoy! 😉
